THE MISSING RAINDROP

It takes everything you ever wanted and then losing it to know what true freedom is.

Lana Delrey

Inside the room, they told her to dance in sync.
She can’t focus. Why is everyone around wearing pink?

What’s playing on radio is not her favorite song,
Swaying to the beats in her head, her foot taps along.

Sneaked out in the open, the touch of raindrops felt nice…
Breathing in the earthy scent, she strolled for a little while.

Closed her eyes, letting the breeze play with her hair that moment,
In the reflection of water, she was happily twirling around in her blue dress.

Amid the downpour, someone was calling her name,
She moved closer and was trapped inside the room again.

There was silence, yet a strange ringing in her ears.
The reason behind pink silhouettes dancing is still unclear.

Fearing the stares, she hid behind a curtain
Her screams went unnoticed and silence felt like a burden.

Somehow the air was thick, and hard to breathe right.
She tried to smile. Her lips agreed, but eyes denied.

She again danced chaotic, music not reaching her soul.
They were all angry now, coz her tears were in no control.

Afraid of getting lost, she needs to mellow down.
Good memories stay strong, this she has always known.

Surely, on her, the carefree spirit will take its toll,
But the blue she owns is very beautiful on the whole.

She keeps herself distant from her heart yearning non-stop..
For she knows, the only thing that can make her eyes smile, is The Missing Raindrop.
