If you heart is good, don’t let the world elude you into thinking that you have to change something about you to be better received.
Saurav Roy
Open your eyes and have a look around,
Your world is on the verge of turning upside down.
Its time you move on and stop pretending,
The Hourglass doesn’t care for your happy ending.
You float inside the bubble of fairy tale,
Watching the signs of fading hope …
And fearing the fall of the final grain.
You cherish the Colors you have got,
Lived in denial for so long…
Without giving it a single thought.
As the time ticks, your heart races…
You want to escape but destiny chases.
Heart is heavy, sunken, powerless and weak…
Once was a chatterbox, now it might never speak.
The Dreams you ignore, the tears you conceal,
Falling short for words as the days fly by…
Don’t know how to describe what you feel.
Once the bubble bursts,
All your Colors will scatter in the ocean…
A few will move far away,
Others will just be lost in the commotion.
You know your colors are always special and bright…
They never look the same,
When taken out in different lights.
Try harder to find them and keep them close,
You know the only thing that truly define you…
Are the Beautiful Colors that you once chose!

I read this poem two times already. It is written beautifully. Quite engaging!
Btw, I would like to know a bit more about what you actually meant by ‘colors’, if you feel like sharing that.

Hey Chetna.. I really appreciate you taking out the time to actually analyse the poem. I’m glad you found it engaging. 😊
‘Colors’ in general sense is symbolizing the identity or personality traits of our true/real self… which we all kind of struggle to keep intact in the ever changing timeline in this world. The term will surely imply different things for different people as we all go through our own phases in life. 🙂
Hope this helped & I have not confused you ! 😅

This is also Hindu philosophy,(colours have a great importance in our civilization 2)The effort to explain this difficult subject in very simple language is commendable.
