Never be the reason why someone who loved to sing, doesn’t anymore,
Or why someone now wears plain clothing, who dressed so uniquely before.
Never be the reason why someone is conscious of his very form,
Nothing is sadder than witnessing someone to be ashamed of their own bones.

Never be the reason why someone who always spoke so excitedly about her dream,
is now silent for good,
She might have tried to explain a million times,
Maybe you were the one who never really understood.

Never be the reason someone burst into tears in her room,
and realized that no one knows how unhappy she was.
Or why she cannot find peace in a huge mansion,
but can sleep like a baby under the innocent stars.

Never be the reason someone gave up on a part of themselves because of you,
Or why someone struggles to find kind words while speaking the truth.
Never be the reason someone gave up hope for a better life,
Nothing is more heartbreaking than being the victim of such compromise.

Be the reason why someone was able to go through the day,
Why someone could cry aloud and speak up the things they could never say.
Be the reason to make someone feel a little less heavy inside,
For once at least, be the bigger person and forget your pride.
Be the reason why someone wants to wake up by choice,
You should be aware that someone is saved when you raise your voice.

A lifetime is passed just like that…
Wondering about the things you should and shouldn’t have said.
Be real, be true…
Be the reason why your own self can be proud of you.
